Note: This is an optional feature.  This is not a required step for any of InviteBox's referral programs.  Follow this guide only if you would like to record additional data for your conversions.

InviteBox provides the option to store four additional pieces of information:

  1. Name: this usually represents the friend's (the person that was referred) name
  2. E-mail: this usually represents the friend's (the person that was referred) e-mail
  3. Conversion Value:  this usually represents a number that denotes the value of the conversion (e.g., item price, order total)
  4. Unique identifier: this can be any unique identifier that you would like to store with the conversion (e.g., order number, transaction reference number)

All of the above fields are optional, you are free to set any or all of them.

Your website can pass in these additional data points through the conversion script that you'll find in the 'Integration' tab of your InviteBox campaign.  As shown below, the conversion tracking script contains a line shown below in bold:

<script type="text/javascript">(function() {    var ibl = document.createElement('script');    ibl.type = 'text/javascript'; ibl.async = true;    ibl.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://' : 'http://') + ''+escape(window.location.hash);    window.ibData = {"name" : "", "email" : "", "conversion_value" : "", "unique_identifier" : ""};    var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];    s.parentNode.insertBefore(ibl, s);})();</script>

Edit the line to pass in values for name, e-mail, conversion_value or unique_identifier.
